Two-time Stanley Cup champion Scott Gomez is joining the Panthers, according to an ESPN.com report.

The Panthers said Wednesday that they agreed to terms with the veteran center on a one-year deal. Gomez leads all active U.S.-born NHL players in assists with 530 and points with 701.

Rangers President and GM Glen Sather announced today that the club has agreed to terms with restricted free agent forward Mats Zuccarello on a new deal.

Zuccarello, 25, registered three goals and five assists in 15 games last season after signing with the Rangers on March 28.

He has skated in 67 career regular season contests over three seasons with the Rangers, registering 11 goals and 23 assists for 34 points, along with 18 penalty minutes and a plus-13 rating. He originally signed with the team as an undrafted free agent on May 26, 2010. 

David Nonis, Senior Vice President and GM of the Maple Leafs, announced Tuesday the hockey club has agreed to terms with defenceman Mark Fraser on a one-year contract.

Fraser, 26, played 45 games for the Maple Leafs in 2012-13, collecting eight assists and 85 penalty minutes.  The Ottawa native saw action in four playoff games for the Leafs, registering one assist and seven penalty minutes.  The Leafs originally acquired Fraser from the Anaheim Ducks on February 27, 2012 in exchange for Dale Mitchell.

Fraser has played 143 career NHL games with Toronto and New Jersey, posting three goals, 13 assists, and 171 minutes in penalties. He was originally New Jersey’s third choice, selected 84th overall, in the 2005 Entry Draft.

Defenseman Zach Bogosian and the Jets are gearing up for a long-term relationship.

Bogosian agreed to terms with the Jets on a new seven-year deal worth $36M on Monday, the team announced. Bogosian, 23, will carry an annual salary-cap charge of $5.143M.

The Kings have agreed to terms on a new two-year contract for defenseman Andrew Bodnarchuk and a three-year entry level contract for defenseman Colin Miller, Kings President/GM Dean Lombardi announced today.
 
Bodnarchuk, 25, appeared in 69 regular season games with the Manchester Monarchs – the Kings AHL affiliate – last season, recording five goals (tied a career high), 20 points, 77 penalty minutes and a plus-17 rating.  He was originally selected by Boston in the fifth-round (128th overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.  
 
Miller, 20, appeared in 54 regular season games with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the OHL last season, recording 20 goals (new career high), 55 points, 78 penalty minutes and a plus-13 rating.  The Kings drafted Miller in the fifth-round (151st overall) in the 2012 NHL Draft.

The Devils have agreed to terms on a one-year deal with right wing Jaromir Jagr, a source told ESPN.com.

Jagr, 41, will help New Jersey attempt to fill the  void created when Ilya Kovalchuk elected to retire from the NHL and play in his native Russia's KHL.

The Red Wings have agreed to a two-year deal with defenseman Brendan Smith, according to an ESPN.com report.

The 24-year-old Smith played in 34 games for the Red Wings in 2012-13. In 48 career games, he has a goal and 14 assists, along with 49 penalty minutes.

The Islanders and restricted free agent center Josh Bailey have agreed to terms on a new five-year contract, the team announced Monday.

Financial terms were not disclosed, but a source confirmed to ESPNNewYork.com that the deal is worth $16.5M.

The Rangers have locked up another of their restricted free agents, agreeing to terms on a two-year contract with winger Carl Hagelin.

The deal is worth $4.5M, multiple sources confirmed to ESPNNewYork.com, with Hagelin receiving $2.1M in the first year and $2.4M in the second.

Rangers President and GM Glen Sather announced today that the club has agreed to terms with restricted free agent defenseman Ryan McDonagh on a new contract.

McDonagh, 24, registered four goals and 15 assists for 19 points, along with 22 penalty minutes in 46 games last season.  McDonagh tied for first among team defensemen in goals, and ranked second in assists and points. 

Internationally, McDonagh has represented the United States at several tournaments, including at the 2011 World Championship in Slovakia.

The St. Paul, Minnesota native was acquired by the Rangers, along with Chris Higgins and Pavel Valentenko, from the Canadiens in exchange for Scott Gomez, Tom Pyatt and Mike Busto on June 30, 2009. McDonagh was originally selected by Montreal as a first round choice, 12^th overall, in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
